Candidate-Elect for Circuit Court Division 1 in Sebastian County

The deadline to file for Sebastian county Circuit Court Division 1 came and went today at 3pm. I am the only candidate to file for the office. Therefore, there will not be an election on March 3, 2026. I will start the job on January 1, 2027. I am very humbled and grateful for this opportunity.
I will take over for retiring Judge Stephen Tabor who is a good friend and mentor and has been a terrific judge his entire career. I will still be the Greenwood District Judge through December 31, 2026. In 2012, another judge I look up to, Wayland Parker, told me that the Greenwood District Judge job was the best job in the county. He sure was right, and following in his footsteps was a tough task. I love my job, and still have 13 months to serve there. The people who work in the Greenwood courthouse are some of the best people I’ve ever met.
I want to thank all of you for being ready to help with my campaign. I’ve had numerous people reach out to pray, to put out signs, donate money, hit doors, and Tonya and I will forever be grateful. Mostly, we want to thank the Lord Jesus and trust his plan for our lives.Judge Michael Wagoner
